Description

Join us! We’re providing localised ways to guide Malaysian Businesses to take on and champion their Climate Action Journey.

About this event

With the global landscape largely set for the private sector to innovate and invest in the direction toward a low carbon economy, UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, Nottingham University Business School Malaysia and SENTRAL College Penang is publishing one of the first Malaysia-centric climate action guide to help corporate responsibility and sustainability practitioners position climate change within their companies as a core business concern.

Given the crucial role of businesses in leading Malaysia towards achieving a low carbon future and averting a path towards climate catastrophe, the comprehensive MYClimateAction Guide serves the following objectives:

● To strengthen the business case of embarking on a Low Carbon/Net Zero pathway through the analysis of physical & transitional risks faced by Malaysian corporations

● To present a “Total Climate Management” framework as a guide for business leaders to embark on their journey to decarbonization

● To produce localized case studies that serve as a reference point for corporate leaders, business schools & relevant parties

With this, UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei is hosting the virtual event “Thriving a Net Zero Economy: A Guide for Malaysian Businesses for Positive Climate Action” on Thursday 29th July 2021, from 10.00AM – 11.00AM (MYT)
